Patient Examinations

Digital Radiography is a form of X-ray imaging, where digital X-ray sensors are used instead of traditional photographic film.  Advantages include time efficiency through bypassing chemical processing and the ability to digitally transfer and enhance images. Also less radiation can be used to produce an image of similar contrast to conventional radiography. While using a precisely aligned central ray and aligned weight bearing patient positioning we can make very accurate mathematical measurements to evaluate spinal biomechanics which includes the cervical, thoracic, lumbar spine and pelvis. Of course we look at pathology, degenerative changes, congenital defects, calcification and vascular abnormalities etc.

Knowing how the structure is aligned and then blending that information with computerized verterbal motion analysis using Pulstar or ProAjuster allows us to evaluate the spine light years beyond past Chiropractic analysis.

Plethysmography for Upper and Lower Extremity Circulation

Instrumentation used to measure upper and lower extremity circulation as well as diagnosis Thoracic Outlet syndromes, rule out Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, evaluate neck and shoulder contribution to numbness and tingling in arms and hands etc.

Photoelectric plethysmographs for the fingers and toes are described which use electrocardiographs for the recording and which have definite advantages in routine clinical observations on the circulation. The validity of the technique is established (1) by comparison of the photoelectric records with simultaneous records obtained with transmission plethysmographs, (2) by comparison of the photoelectric records in instances of circulatory disturbances with independent directional confirmation by other methods in the literature.
